Absolutely with you on the early tree decorating - who wants it all to be over on 26th. When my children were younger we used to buy it on the way home the afternoon when they’d finished for Christmas.
Just love that tradition! For a long time I put the tree up on Christmas Eve but no we go for mid December. I love the excitement but also that post Christmas period lazing around at home, getting out for walks and into the garden! Lovely to have some left overs by the tree lights! Happy Christmas Jane.
Thank you Rhiannon! Love cutting out and sticking pictures! (I have found honesty take an another year to flower - might just produce leaves in 2025 and the flowers and seed pods in 2026 eeeeeekkkkkkk) Honesty is like mother of pearl or something really precious.

Your decorations are so pretty! I’m growing honesty for next year, and hoping to use them to decorate next Christmas.
With you on the seed catalog planning on January—such a hopeful thing to do after Christmas dies down
