Planting out and slugs

Don’t get me wrong. I love slugs.

They are essential. Eating rotting vegetation, breaking it down for the worms and bacteria. Slugs are delicious for so much wildlife but so far I have spotted one duck and one toad.

Sadly, I almost felt a bit beaten by them this week.

I’ve been planting out.

There are plenty of plants that the slugs have left completely alone but others have been ravaged. I feel so sad after lovingly sowing the seeds and nurturing plants.

I do however have a plan of action, it is fully operational and working.
