An October display: how to create impact with just a few stems.

Like anything that is just about to be taken away, my appreciation for Dahlias is at full whack just before the mercury dips below zero. We got away with a fleeting visit from Jack Frost, whilst flowers may still bloom for a while yet, the best is certainly over. Rain, wind and fluctuation of temperatures will take their toil.

This is less of a ‘combination’ that makes a recipe, more of one of those ‘salad’ assemblies that is hardly a recipe at all but you keep because you need reminding of how delicious and easy this one is to do. No other flower works as well as Dahlias do for this one and scroll down for lots of examples where I have used this technique. It’s a good one for fireplaces and wedding top tables, very quick, economical in impactful. Have it tucked in your arsenal of arrangements!
